What affiliate links are
An affiliate link is a normal link to a retailer that includes a small tracking code. When you click one of our links and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether or not you use our link.
Programs we participate in
We may participate in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. We may also join merchant affiliate programs for retailers and brands that fit our content. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
How it affects our recommendations
It does not. We choose products based on published specifications, real-world usability, and value for the reader's scenario. A product's inclusion in an article is never sold, and we do not accept payment for positive coverage. When a product has clear weaknesses, we say so.
Where disclosures appear
A short affiliate disclosure appears near the top of every article that contains commercial links, before the first CTA. This page is linked from the footer and the sidebar so the disclosure is always one click away.
